CLEAR just released a new version of it's connection manager which now supports Windows7. The previous connection manager did work with Windows7 but you had to spend a little extra effort to get it to work. The new connection manager, version 1.05, installs very easily and now provides all the drivers needed connect to the 4G or 3G network right away.

I did a quick test on my system that is running a retail copy of Windows7 Ultimate and I am happy to report that it worked just fine. I have provided a link to download the new software below.

If your a new to CLEAR and you want to sign-up, please give me a call at 404-492-9779 and I will take care of you.

The connection manager for snow leopard is ready as well. You can download the software here http://drop.io/ClearCM_02/asset/clearcm-mac-v1-03...
What's your experience with a VOIP product over Clear (not Clear's VOIP offering, but rather a Vonage or other 3rd party VOIP)? I am interested in Clear, and the speeds are fine (in fact upload speeds at Clear often exceed cable's); however I am concerned by 100ms+ pings I usually see for Clear. My cable pings are typically 34ms. While VOIP might be fine at around 100ms, there is no room for lesser performance without VOIP having an issue. Would appreciate your thoughts.

I am happy to report that I use CLEAR Voice at home and it works very well. I was a Comcast customer before CLEAR and even though Comcast was theoretically faster my CLEAR connection is more reliable. I tried to use Skype and MagicJack with Comcast and always got disconnected. But, with CLEAR all my VOIP application work so much better with hardly any dropped calls. So I am not sure how much the latency effects VOIP performance. But, speaking from my experience over the last 6 months the phone service is working very well.
Thanks so much :)
